This is an aerial photograph shot from a drone at 60 meters height of Suliyari mine at Village Dogari, with camera looking straight into new mine is less than 30 meters deep.  Fresh fish-like scales develop on the earth as miners remove the overburden and hammer for coal. Powerful pumps drain water lowering the ground water table. This will result in water shortage in the area affecting the bio-diversity and human settlements around.
